Hey there!

I’m Mutindi Lydia Jacobs, born in Nairobi, Kenya, to a Kenyan father and a Namibian mother. I like to call myself the quintessential multi-hyphenate, which just means that I like do a few different things I love, all at once! I am a Lawyer by profession having specialised in oil and gas law, but I’m also a creative at heart, having founded various businesses in the orange economy of Namibia.

My journey into business began early, at age 21, with my first venture, Karibu Events which served as an event mangement and wedding planning business. Since then, I’ve founded various other passion projects including Karibu Home, Karibu Kouture, and most notably, Karibu Flowers. I am most proud of Karibu Flowers which in 2023 became the largest online floral shop in Namibia, famous for introducing gorgeous preserved roses and flower boxes to the local scene.

I love sharing my natural ability to make things beautiful—whether it’s a living space or an everyday moment as an Interior Stylist and Home-maker on my YouTube channel and Instagram.
